Another semester comes to an end in NSU. This semester has been a very hectic one for me, as I was harried around for Accreditation Work. Also, you all had a harsh semester starting from the month of April. It was overall a good experience. But I had some section specific feedback:
BUS 173 Section 14 - You guys really need to improve, and get above the fear of mathematics. Don't be misguided to think that mathematics is just one course in the university. Even when you graduate, you will find maths very handy in many different places. I had the luck of meeting few really good students in your class, but the overall feedback was unsatisfactory. I expected a bit more from the class where I tried my best to make statistics very simple and realistic.
MGT 314 Section 7 and 8 - I have tried my best to keep this course as practical as possible, and as applicable as possible. Those of you who have achieved a good grade (any thing equal to or above a B-), I expect you to be able to implement what I have showed in the course. I specifically enjoyed the fact that both the sections were very engaging.
FIN 470 Section 2 - Words cannot justify what really happened in that class. It guess it was journey for both you all and me. Every Monday I used to look forward to taking your class. It was a joy even to prepare for the class. I will say one thing for sure, I have tested you in many different dimensions and most of you have proved yourself to be quiet capable. Always remember that the bookish knowledge is not enough for preparing yourself for managing risk and uncertainty - that is the key. I wish you all the very best of luck, and I will really miss taking this class in the next semester.
That's all from this semester. I have uploaded the grades in the NSU system, so hopefully you will be able to check in few days time. And in the course of the semester, if any of my actions have hurt you, I am sincerely sorry for that. All I wanted was the best for my students. If any of you need any help or consultation regarding your future education, please feel free to drop by my office or email me.
